BACKGROUND

Genevieve works with a large network of collectors, patrons and artists, which she has built up during her career. In the last five years she held the position of Co-Head of Europe for the department of Photographs at Phillips Auction House. Genevieve began her career at the prestigious Michael Hoppen Gallery, London, in 2001. She later joined Phillips de Pury Auction House in 2007, where she held the inaugural London sale for Photographs.

After running the London department for two years, Genevieve relocated to Australia, where she worked for Rex Irwin Fine Art in Sydney. After returning to London in 2012, Genevieve worked at Magnum Photos and then returned to Phillips Auction House. During this tenure Genevieve established multiple world auction records and oversaw the expansion of the department. She brought to market the esteemed collections of French film producer, Georges Bermann, in 2016, and leading Impressionist and Modern Art expert, Michel Strauss, in May 2018.

Genevieve received her Bachelor of Arts from University College London, where she specialised in Surrealist photography in her final year, and completed her thesis on the Photography of Dora Maar. She has been advising and building clients’ collections for over 15 years, and has worked in London, Paris, New York and Sydney.

Since buying her first home on the Côte d'Azur in 2004, Genevieve has discovered more and more artists and photographers who have all called the South of France home at one point. Moving to the region permanently with her family in 2017, she now lives near Grasse.
